Game description

Where the law only matters if it wins

Wild Duel takes place in a town that has already crossed the line between order and ambush. The streets still carry the names of decent people, but the real power shifts from rooftop to rooftop, from trigger finger to trigger finger, and every standoff feels like it has been waiting to happen for years.

The base game plays on a 5x3 panel with 10 paylines, though the real tension begins when 2 Scatters land and the Duel Feature opens at both sides of the grid. Marshals arrive on one reel, Outlaws on the other, each locked into their own positions like opponents taking marks before the draw. If their rows align, the duel is settled immediately.

A winning Marshal drags a feature into the spin with him. Old Bob sends Random Wilds into the field, Goldie Locks throws down an Expanding Wild, and Long John leaves Sticky Wilds behind that remain for the next exchange. The defeated outlaw's multiplier is carried into the result, so every victory leaves weight on the board as well as damage.

That is where the game becomes properly dangerous, because one duel can lead to another, and several can happen in the same sequence. Respins continue as long as the Marshals keep winning, while overlapping Wilds stack their values for the current spin and turn the panel into a mess of compounded firepower. Even when the town goes quiet, the game can still intervene with random Wild placements, as if trouble has found its own way back in.

Free Spins open with 3 Scatters and keep the Duel Feature active for the full session, with extra spins awarded whenever the Marshals win in numbers. In Wild Duel, justice is a technicality. The money follows whoever controls the street long enough to take it.

Wild Duel delivers thrilling moments aplenty, but the seemingly low bonus frequency may mar the adventure for some players. The game is highly volatile, with a maximum win potential of 10,000x your bet and a RTP of 96.1%. 'We must have caught Wild Duel on a bad day because it served up one of the driest test runs of recent times... Dead spins ran like moonshine on payday, and features could tease.' Bonus rounds, when triggered, are eventful with plenty of duelling and action. The duel aspect adds to the entertainment but can feel a little superfluous. Graphical style is uniquely quirky and appealing to fans of Peter & Sons. Suited more for players who enjoy tough volatility and don't mind dry spells in play.

The slot is considered highly volatile, with big wins coming few and far between. 'You can expect plenty of dead spins when playing the slot but once the bonuses start rolling in, so does the fun.' The charming cartoonish look belies underlying hard-hitting potential, with bonus rounds being 'great, and the underlying numbers for the slot are solid.' The Duel feature during free spins ensures extra entertainment. Overall, Wild Duel is 'a really enjoyable title that is well worth taking for a spin.'

RTP 96% is an average figure, which guarantees a fairly good return. The volatility is high, which implies rare but big wins. 'I have tested the slot and I can say that its high volatility gives not only excitement, but also the opportunity to get big rewards if the risk justifies itself.' Unique mechanics such as the Duel Feature with respins and wild varieties are highlighted. The gameplay 'keeps you in suspense thanks to the constant duels that multiply the chances of winning.'

Design is 'well-designed' and entertaining with the bonus features—especially the Wild Duel mechanic evoking a real Western showdown. Maximum win possible is 10,000x bet; RTP is 96.11% and volatility is high. 'Players will be hoping the marshalls can put the outlaws in their place to award great prizes and free spins.' Slight caution noted: 'the chances of winning this maximum are slim and players should not hold out for any such big wins.' Still, the game is regarded as a strong addition from Peter & Sons.
